Repeated recognition, not just one big night

Nathan Cleary earned simulated points in 15 different rounds, the highest count in this dataset. That produced 77 season points. Ranking by scoring rounds asks a different question from the overall leaderboard: who kept returning to the award positions?

A player who earns two points on several occasions can finish above someone with fewer six-point peaks in this view. Ties in scoring-round count are ordered by total simulation points, then the season ranking.

What this measure can and cannot tell you

This is consistency of fan recognition, not a measure of week-to-week playing quality. The denominator is scoring rounds, not appearances. Injuries, byes, selection and low voting participation can all affect the count, and we do not have minutes-played data to separate them.

Read the average alongside the count: a high average over a small number of scoring rounds points to concentrated peaks. A larger count with a lower average suggests more frequent smaller awards. The late-season form report shows when those points arrived.
